Cannondale Suspension Seatpost Recall

Cannondale is recalling about 1,480 improperly manufactured 1-X suspension seatposts. The aluminum posts can crack.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

Lee Chi, also known as Promax, manufactured the posts in Taiwan for Cannondale for various 2005 bikes. The posts have "1-X" laser etched on the outer tube, and they came with a black, yellow and red instruction booklet.

The bikes were sold at Cannondale retailers since December 2004 for about $800 to $1,600.
